Four year B.Tech course in Civil Engineering was started in the institution during
the academic year 2007-08 The department is guided by a well experienced professor
as Head with over 20 years of experience in various capacities in academics as well
in industry As there was a lot of infrastructure development within the state as
well as whole country, competition to join in Civil Engineering course has become
attractive choice for the candidates.
Construction has picked up enormously in the recent times, globally. In the national
context, it stands next to Agricultural in terms of country’s economy and large
scale employment potential. The future of the country therefore essentially lies
in identifying such sectors as construction industry, developing them and gaining
benefit out of them.
In the present scenario there is acute shortage of well trained Civil engineers
to cater to the needs of construction industry and there by the role of Civil Engineering
in the field of technical education is gaining importance. The quality of education
plays a vital role to meet the requirements of the industry. CBTV is one such institution
